USAC Election Board admits to inadequately investigating voter coercion complaint

The undergraduate student government election board said during a judicial board hearing Wednesday it failed to adequately investigate a complaint about attempted voter coercion. The judicial board held a hearing Wednesday night for a petition against the election board that claimed it failed to fully investigate complaint cases related to voter coercion and did not issue a reasonable sanction against Bruins United candidates Bella Martin and Victoria Solkovits. Academic Affairs Commission office door vandalized with homophobic slur

A homophobic slur was found on an undergraduate student government office door Sunday morning. The Undergraduate Students Association Council Academic Affairs Commission’s door was vandalized with the word “fag,” said Divya Sharma, Academic Affairs commissioner. Read more...

Bruins United president leads majority independent council

USAC election sanction – May 3

The undergraduate student government election board issued three sanctions Thursday. Victoria Solkovits, a Bruins United candidate running for external vice president, was sanctioned for not tagging the USAC Election Board at UCLA page and not including the #USACVote18 hashtag on a campaign-related Facebook post.
