New USAC campaign encourages students to vote ‘no’ on LA’s Measure S

Students began preparing for a campaign Thursday against a new housing measure that would restrict off-campus housing developments. Student leaders’ Fund the UC campaign aims to prevent tuition hike

Many students aren’t aware of a campaign that aims to increase funding for the University of California system, said some UC student leaders. Student volunteers for the UC Student Association’s Fund the UC campaign have increased their lobbying activities after the UC Regents increased tuition and fees by 2.7 percent, or $282, at a board meeting in January in San Francisco. Solar charging umbrellas installed on Kerckhoff patio

Students can now charge their cell phones at outdoor charging stations on Kerckhoff patio. Associated Students UCLA worked with the Undergraduate Students Association Council to have five solar umbrellas with USB ports installed Wednesday morning, said USAC Facilities Commissioner Sandra Rhee.
