Amendment proposed to give control of UCOP budget to state legislature

The University of California Office of the President could lose its financial autonomy if a state constitutional amendment proposed Tuesday becomes law. State Sen. UC ranks as one of leading colleges in EPA’s Green Power Partnership

The United States Environmental Protection Agency recognized the University of California as a leader in renewable energy, UC officials announced Thursday. The EPA assessed the UC and other organizations through its Green Power Partnership, a program that encourages organizations to use green power to reduce the environmental effects of electricity use. UC Board of Regents votes in favor of capping nonresident enrollment
