Sexual harassment by UC regent faces backlash from Bruin community

Several University of California students and officials condemned a UC regent for sexually harassing a former employee. UC Berkeley Greek life council bans parties after sexual assault reports

Union workers stage protest over low wages for UC employees

Union members temporarily disrupted traffic in Westwood on Tuesday as they protested what they called low wages for University of California employees. Teamsters Local 2010, the union representing administrative, clerical and skilled trades workers, held the protest a day after a study revealed that 70 percent of UC clerical workers are food insecure. Study shows about 70 percent of UC employees lack food security

University of California administrative and clerical workers struggle to feed themselves more than students do, according to a study released Monday. Occidental College’s Urban and Environmental Policy Institute surveyed about 14,000 members of Teamsters Local 2010, the union that represents UC administrative and clerical workers. Read more...

UC partners with insurance company to increase access to medical data

Gov. Brown approves $22 million to fund entrepreneurship at UCs

University of California campuses have more resources to develop real-world applications for technology after Gov. Jerry Brown approved $22 million in funding Friday. Brown signed Assembly Bill 2664, which provides $2.2 million in one-time funds to the 10 UC campuses to pay for incubator space, equipment, entrepreneurial training, legal services and other entrepreneurial tools.
