Sexual harassment by UC regent faces backlash from Bruin community
Several University of California students and officials condemned a UC regent for sexually harassing a former employee. UC Regent Norman Pattiz, who is also executive chairman of the radio company PodcastOne, made sexual comments about his former employee, Heather McDonald, while she was taping a commercial for memory foam bras. Union workers stage protest over low wages for UC employees
Union members temporarily disrupted traffic in Westwood on Tuesday as they protested what they called low wages for University of California employees. Teamsters Local 2010, the union representing administrative, clerical and skilled trades workers, held the protest a day after a study revealed that 70 percent of UC clerical workers are food insecure. Study shows about 70 percent of UC employees lack food security
University of California administrative and clerical workers struggle to feed themselves more than students do, according to a study released Monday.
