UCLA alumna Janet Reilly appointed to UC Board of Regents

A UCLA alumna has been appointed to the University of California Board of Regents, according to an August 9 press release from the governor’s office. Janet Reilly, who is a co-founder and board president of a free volunteer-based health clinic called Clinic by the Bay, will fill the position on the board previously held by Ellen Tauscher, who died in April. Former student files lawsuit against UC alleging lack of due process in Title IX case

UC successfully negotiates new deal with one labor union, frustrates another

The University of California ended a two-year negotiation with a union this week and met with other unions to continue bargaining.
