The lifestyle retailer, which sold clothing, dorm decorations and music products at 1028 and 1038 Westwood Blvd., was among more than a dozen Westwood Village properties that UC Investments – the office of the UC Regents’ chief investment officer – bought in July for nearly $50 million, according to the Commercial Observer. After shuttering in 2024, the Westwood Village Theater – now rebranded as the Directors Village – brought hundreds of people to Westwood to see “The Odyssey.” The theater was purchased in February 2024 by a collective of filmmakers including Christopher Nolan, director of “The Odyssey,” an adaptation of the epic poem written by ancient Greek poet Homer.
