UCPD notified of alleged sexual assault reported early Tuesday on the Hill
UCPD received notice of a rape that was reported to have occurred early Tuesday morning on the Hill. The incident occurred inside the victim’s dorm building on the 300 block of De Neve Drive at 4:50 a.m., according to a UCPD Clery Timely Warning. Read more...

After 20 years in Westwood, Espresso Profeta is set to close this week
This post was updated Sept. 23 at 10:54 p.m. Espresso Profeta, a specialty coffee shop, will close Friday after 20 years in Westwood. Westwood’s Urban Outfitters closes after 22 years following UC Investments acquisition

The lifestyle retailer, which sold clothing, dorm decorations and music products at 1028 and 1038 Westwood Blvd., was among more than a dozen Westwood Village properties that UC Investments – the office of the UC Regents’ chief investment officer – bought in July for nearly $50 million, according to the Commercial Observer.
