The Westwood Neighborhood Council meets monthly to discuss issues pertaining to Westwood Village and the surrounding areas. Comments Ana Huizar, a representative from the Los Angeles Office of Community Beautification, said the group plans to start a beautification program to help clean up Westwood’s streets. Westwood community polarized over improving Village nightlife

Westwood does not seem to be the place students have in mind when they want to have a night out on the town. Some Westwood community members said they think the area’s nightlife should be more lively and cater to students, while others said they think it should not be disruptive and should cater to more permanent residents. New poke restaurant opens in Westwood following growing popularity

Students can now choose from four poke places in Westwood with the recent addition of a new restaurant in the Village. The Poke, a restaurant that serves poke bowls and hot plates served with cooked meat, miso soup, sweet radishes and other toppings, opened a new location Monday on Broxton Avenue. Read more...
