Last Bruin Flea of school year hosts variety of vendors, raises money for unhoused

Broxton Avenue came to life Friday as the Bruin Flea hosted its last event of the school year. The monthly flea, held from 3 to 8:30 p.m on the third Friday of each month, featured vendors and activities including henna art, jewelry and clothes. Read more...

UCLA announces the creation of new Unhoused Task Force

UCLA announced the creation of a new Unhoused Task Force on March 20 to explore strategies to address homelessness on campus and in Westwood. ‘LA Vibes’: First Thursdays brings mural art, skating and UCLA spirit to Broxton

This post was updated April 9 at 9:34 p.m. The UCLA community celebrated Los Angeles culture Thursday at April’s First Thursdays block party. Roller skating, skate performances, a live mural painting and food trucks were featured on Broxton Avenue for “LA Vibes,” drawing in more than 2,200 attendees, said Eddie North-Hager, interim executive director of UCLA Media. North Westwood Neighborhood Council recap – April 3

The North Westwood Neighborhood Council heard updates from various public officials and discussed issues surrounding transportation and homelessness Wednesday.
