Westwood Village bar O’Hara’s will close Saturday, and an Italian bar and tavern will move in at the corner of Gayley and Weyburn avenues. Rocco’s Tavern, which has three locations throughout the Los Angeles area, will replace the bar, said Joshua Trifunovich, the new owner of the property. Read more...

University police are searching for a man who allegedly sexually assaulted a UCLA student at a party in the North Village early Friday. The Westwood Village Improvement Association, also known as the BID, is a nonprofit organization tasked with improving the state of Westwood Village. Criminal activity in Westwood increased by 22 percent in 2015, the first increase in crime rates since 2003, police officials said.
