UCPD arrests 2 individuals in connection to recent Westwood burglaries

University police arrested two people Tuesday in connection with several Westwood burglaries. Cierra Marie Bartholomew, 28, and Adrian Givens, 46, were arrested early Tuesday morning and charged with burglary, possession of stolen property, possession of burglary tools and being felons in possession of firearms and ammunition, according to a Thursday press release from the UCPD. Primo’s Donuts to fill Westwood vacancy after Stan’s Donuts closure

The hole left by the departure of Stan’s Donuts has a new filing: another family-owned donut shop. Primo’s Donuts, a 64-year-old donut shop operated by three generations of the same family, will take over the Westwood Village vacancy previously occupied by Stan’s Donuts this fall, according to a press release from Bel Air Branding, who represents Primo’s Donuts. Organizers make plans to establish Westwood community fridge, reduce food insecurity

Students and community organizers are looking to establish a community fridge in Westwood Village to combat food insecurity in Westwood during the pandemic. Community fridges are public refrigerators filled with free fresh groceries, meals and produce open to anybody without limits or restrictions on how much one can take. Read more...

Westwood Village businesses struggle amid re-tightening of restrictions
