Dear Colleagues, We write to categorically support the proposed College of Letters and Science undergraduate diversity requirement, an amendment to Divisional Regulation A-458 (C). The College Faculty Executive Committee, the Undergraduate Council and the UCLA Academic Senate’s Legislative Assembly have all supported this requirement following extensive vetting and debate. Submission: Co-author of UCSA resolution needs to disclose affiliations
On Feb. 8, the University of California Student Association (UCSA) will vote on a resolution to divest from eleven companies that do business with Israel. Submission: UC should develop budget without utilizing tuition hikes
UCLA’s Graduate Students Association passed a unanimous resolution last week calling on the University of California “to develop a budget that does not rely on a major tuition and fee hike.” As the largest graduate student body in the UC, I hope our strong opposition sends a message that students should not have to bear this burden alone.
