Zoey Freedman: UCLA administration should provide funding for free menstrual products

The accessibility of menstrual products can be a messy subject. Oftentimes, students get caught unprepared with their periods. When this happens on campus, we either have to ask around the bathroom for a spare or go to Ackerman Union, Lu Valle Commons or another store on campus to buy an overpriced box of pads or tampons when we only really need one or two to get through the day before heading to CVS or our home supply. Letter to the Editor: Daily Bruin editorial misrepresents sexual assault reporting policy

The Daily Bruin’s editorial “New sexual assault policy harms survivors” contains several serious inaccuracies or misrepresentations that must be corrected. First, the editorial incorrectly describes the policy’s “responsible employee” provision, which in fact only applies when employees learn of an incident in the course of their employment. Read more...
