The Quad: USAC Election Board should implement harsher sanctions for real impact

During the week preceding and including Undergraduate Students Association Council election week, Bruin Walk turns into a special sort of hell. A space generally consisting of pushy club members trying to recruit fresh faces or sell Krispy Kreme doughnuts and Porto’s pastries is replaced by a battlefield of party members seemingly fighting to the death to try to get you to vote for their candidate. The Quad: A small taste of food insecurity at the Hunger Banquet

UCLA’s annual Homelessness Awareness Week featured many events to raise awareness of food insecurity, such as the the Hunger Banquet, which took place Tuesday. I decided to attend the banquet since it was not just an ordinary event, but a simulation that attempted to reflect the experiences of people who experience food insecurity. Read more...
