Practice sessions see gymnastics optimistic about Super Six chances

Gymnastics qualifies for NCAA semifinals despite low-scoring meet

No. 5 UCLA gymnastics advanced to the national semifinals in St. Louis with the lowest score of the six regional champions. The other five scored above 197, while the Bruins posted a 196.8, far below the school’s regular season average of 197.121. Read more...

Gymnastics takes home first place at NCAA regional meet

No. 5 UCLA gymnastics needed one more victory to get to St. Louis, the site of the 2017 National Collegiate Women’s Gymnastics Championships. Despite score-killing miscues on the balance beam to open the meet, the team navigated the tricky NCAA regional waters on Saturday, scoring a 196.800 and claiming a spot in national semifinals with a first-place finish.
