Baseball maintains title hope as it prepares for Fullerton

The UCLA baseball team’s chances of defending its 2013 College World Series title are dwindling, but as senior catcher Shane Zeile said, never say never. In its penultimate midweek game, UCLA is set to face Cal State Fullerton as it attempts to compensate for last month’s 4-3 loss against the Titans in hopes of increasing their chances at a postseason. Men’s golf earns No. 3 seed in NCAA Regionals

The UCLA men’s golf team earned its 23rd consecutive NCAA Regional berth on Monday afternoon and will be the No. 3 seed in San Antonio. UCLA women’s soccer team garners No. 4 recruiting class

The UCLA women’s soccer team announced the addition of the nation’s No. 4 recruiting class for the 2014 season Monday. The class of eight incoming freshmen will include forward MacKenzie Cerda, forward/defender Allie Dutto, midfielder/defenders Sam Kokoska and Gabrielle Matulich, defenders Reema Bzeih and Chloe Hemingway and goalkeepers Siri Ervik and Arielle Schechtman. Track and field beats USC men, gives strong performance

The UCLA track and field team hosted its annual meet against the USC Trojans Sunday in what was shaping to be an emotional competition. Before Sunday, the USC men’s team led UCLA 42-38 while the UCLA women’s team led USC 22-8. Read more...
