Double-digit Creighton flushing perches UCLA women’s basketball atop pecking order

The ghosts of March Madnesses past smiled upon the Bruins once more.  Last year, UCLA narrowly edged out Creighton, emerging with a 67-63 victory in the second round of last season’s tournament.  This time – facing four returning starters for the Bluejays – the Bruins left no room for interpretation, ending the first quarter on a 15-point run. Relay wins, family support propel UCLA swim and dive to UNLV Invitational victory

The Bruins’ trip to Sin City began by blending family and team and ended with an over-1,000-point victory. No. 24 UCLA swim and dive (1-0) closed 2024 with a win at the UNLV Invitational, defeating seven other teams – including UNLV with its 743 points and Wyoming with its 639. Read more...

No. 88 draft pick defender Nicholas Cavallo to join New York City Football Club

UCLA men’s soccer graduate student defender Nicholas Cavallo was drafted in the third round as the 88th overall pick in the MLS SuperDraft by the New York City Football Club.  Cavallo spent 2024 in Westwood, where he started in all of UCLA’s contests, notching one goal and two assists while playing primarily as an outside back.
