The Italian players have a wealth of international experience between them, and both turned down opportunities to play professionally in Europe.

Freshman midfielder Jenna Richmond entered her first college soccer season as the consensus No. 1 recruit in the country. A native of Centreville, Va., Richmond has already made a splash with the Bruins, scoring two goals in UCLA’s 2-1 upset victory over Notre Dame on Sept. 10.
