Alfee Reft, Big Ten, Olympic veteran brings recruiting power to women’s volleyball

From Paris to Pauley Pavilion, Alfee Reft’s impact on the Bruins transcends the court. Serving as a seasonal assistant coach for Team USA, Reft, the UCLA women’s volleyball head coach, worked alongside UCLA Hall of Famers Karch Kiraly – the national team’s head coach and UCLA men’s volleyball alumni – and Sue Enquist, the team’s culture consultant and a 10-time NCAA national champion with UCLA softball. Bright flashes of future as men’s soccer defeats Portland with 2 freshmen goals

It had been four years since two UCLA freshmen scored in the same game. That changed Friday night. The goals were courtesy of former LAFC Academy teammates midfielder Tamir Ratoviz and defender Shakir Nixon – who not only each netted their first collegiate goals, but also set one another up for their breakthrough scores. UCLA women’s soccer scores 5th consecutive shutout with victory over BYU
