Baseball to play in Long Beach

There wasn't a seat to spare in the clubhouse. Pitcher Tyson Brummett sat up against the wall. Shortstop Jermaine Curtis pulled up a chair in the middle of the pack. Everyone's eyes were glued to the television. At 9:30 a.m. on Memorial Day the entire baseball team was crowded around a large pull-down screen awaiting the selection for the 2007 NCAA Regionals. Team comes in third, qualifies 7

After a successful weekend in Eugene, Ore., numerous Bruins left the NCAA West Region Championships having qualified for the NCAA Outdoor Championships. Out of 29 teams, UCLA finished in third place and accomplished its goal of sending athletes to NCAAs. Read more...


Men’s track athletes earn national bids

The results from the UCLA men's track and field team's weekend at the NCAA West Region Championships had a familiar feel for senior hurdler Brandon Johnson. Johnson and the Bruins spent the weekend in Eugene, Ore., to compete for bids to the NCAA Outdoor Championships. As a team, UCLA finished fourth with 53.50 points and automatically qualified six Bruins for nationals. Read more...
