USA Volleyball announced that UCLA women’s volleyball assistant coach Kim Jagd will serve as the head coach of the Girls High Performance Camp. Jagd just finished her 11th season as an assistant and will coach her team in the NORCECA Zone Championships this summer and try to qualify for the 2005 youth and junior world championships. Marathon dancers moved by good cause
I say with certainty that I am the best dancer in the Daily Bruin sports section. Dave Regan might beat me out on a bad night ““ the kid is whiter than Wonder Bread but apparently loves DMX ““ but the others are more inclined to look up fantasy basketball stats than “shake it like a Polaroid picture.” But this weekend, I took my love of dance to a new level, and I did so for 26 hours as a participant in UCLA’s Dance Marathon, held to raise money for the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation. W. golf: Golf stretches lead to 25 at Regional Challenge
The UCLA women’s golf team increased its commanding lead to 25 strokes after the second round of the Northrop-Grumman Regional Challenge on Tuesday. The closest competition for the Bruins (11-over par, 579 total) at the Palos Verdes Country Club is New Mexico, at 36-over par, 604 with only one round today remaining to be played. Read more...
