Tommy Silva’s golden goal helps men’s soccer secure win against San Francisco

For the second time in three games, Tommy Silva proved to be the hero in overtime. Just three minutes into the golden goal period, redshirt freshman midfielder Tucker Lepley’s through ball was mishandled by the San Francisco keeper, and once again it was the sophomore defender Silva who pounced on the ball and capitalized on his opportunity. Women’s soccer secures narrow victory over Long Beach State

UCLA men’s soccer hopes to learn from mistakes, defeat San Francisco

The Bruins will have the opportunity to bounce back from their season-opening loss with a matchup against a familiar opponent. After losing to Lipscomb on Thursday to kick off its season, UCLA men’s soccer (0-1) will have the chance to get its first win on the board when it takes the field against San Francisco (1-0) on Sunday at Wallis Annenberg Stadium.
