The Bruins had a jam-packed weekend. UCLA track and field sprinters and field-event athletes competed at the Jim Bush Legends Invitational at Drake Stadium on Wednesday, the Aztec Invitational in San Diego on Thursday and Friday and the Bob Larsen Track Meet on Saturday at home, while the distance runners traveled to Irvine on Thursday for the Anteater Distance Twilight. Just one goal separated the Bruins and the Cardinal when the clock hit triple zeroes in both games this weekend. Junior utility Katrina Drake’s last-ditch effort fell just short at the buzzer Saturday, but it was redshirt sophomore goalkeeper Georgia Phillips who stonewalled a flurry of game-tying attempts as the final period came to a close Sunday. It’s the end of an era for Michaela Onyenwere. The senior forward announced via Twitter on Monday that she was forgoing a potential fifth season with UCLA women’s basketball to join the player pool for the 2021 WNBA Draft. Read more...

The Bruins capped off their Senior Day with a historic performance. For the first time in program history, No. 19 UCLA rowing (2-0) swept No. 18 USC (1-1) in every race and defeated the Women of Troy for only the second time in a dual meet, with the only other victory coming during the 2011-2012 season.
