Swim and dive wins 8 of 17 events in tri-meet versus Arizona, USC

Swim and dive seeks to set strong tone against conference opponents USC, Arizona

It’s the beginning, the middle and the end of the Bruins’ season – at least that is how coach Jordan Wolfrum puts it. UCLA swim and dive (1-0) will travel to take on Pac-12 rivals USC (0-0) and Arizona (1-1) in a crosstown tri-meet affair this weekend – its second regular-season meet of the year and first meet against conference opponents. UCLA swim and dive returns to competition despite changes in traditions

Opportunity was the central theme for the Bruins as they began their pandemic-shortened season. The UCLA swim and dive (1-0) kicked off its season with a 177-115 win over Fresno State (0-1) this past weekend, the swim team’s first competition since the Pac-12 championship meet 10 months ago. Swim and dive wins all but 1 event, defeating Fresno State in home meet

This post was updated Jan. 18 at 10:30 p.m. In the only home meet this season, the Bruins came out on top. UCLA swim and dive (1-0) won 177-115 over Fresno State (0-1), winning all but one of the 17 events over the course of the two-day dual meet. Read more...

Swim and dive hosts first dual meet of the season, Bruin Diving Invitational

The Bruins are officially back in the pool. After UCLA swim and dive saw three of its divers compete in early December, both swim and dive will hit the water this weekend, as UCLA swim takes on Fresno State while the divers compete in the Bruin Diving Invitational featuring UNLV and Utah. Swim and dive sees 2 podium finishes at 1st meet after extended offseason

This post was updated Dec. 9 at 12:52 p.m. It was unexpected and on short notice, but the Bruins dove headfirst into competition. UCLA swim and dive saw three divers compete in the NAU Lumberjack Diving Invitational over the weekend, ending the meet with two podium finishes. Read more...
