Triton Invitational to serve as UCLA’s warm-up lap for Pac-12 stretch

Every year, hundreds of student-athletes at UCLA and at schools all around the country graduate after servicing their respective schools in their individual sports. UCLA gains competitive edge as track and field championship approaches

On the UCLA track and field website, there is a banner that rests atop the page. It reads: “2015 Pac-12 track and field championships, May 9-10 (multis) and May 16-17 – UCLA’s Drake Stadium.” Just as the title and location of this event have assumed an elevated spot on the team’s website, it has also occupied a place in the forefront of the Bruins’ minds throughout the year. Bruins’ young sprinters on the fast track to improvement

UCLA’s men’s track and field team featured a new athlete on the anchor leg of the 4×100-meter relay Saturday. Freshman sprinter Joe Herrera took the role in stride, helping UCLA reach a season-best time of 40.97 seconds, which blew away Oklahoma’s time of 41.63. Read more...
