Double Trouble

Anderson and Morton comprise part of a highly-touted UCLA freshman recruiting class which was ranked third overall in the country according to TennisRecruiting.net. The two freshmen were vaguely familiar with one another from their days on the junior tennis circuit. The two freshmen went out and decisively won the 64-team doubles draw of the 2011 USTA/ITA Southwest Regional Championships in San Diego. Read more...

Freshmen Skylar Morton and Robin Anderson won the Southwest Regional in San Diego and received an automatic bid to travel to New York for the Natonal Intercollegiate Indoor Championships. Morton and Anderson were able to develop chemistry together despite having just met to capture first place. They, among others, comprise the No. 3 recruiting class in the nation for 2011.

Senior Noelle Hickey pulled through with a three-set singles victory to clinch the No. 6-seeded UCLA women’s tennis team’s upset over No. 3 Duke on Sunday in Palo Alto. The Bruins will face the No. 2 Florida Gators in the NCAA semifinals today.


UCLA women’s tennis to face Virginia for the first time in NCAA round of 16

This weekend, members of the UCLA women's tennis team will follow the old sports adage and "act like they've been there before."
This will come in handy, considering the Bruins' opponent cannot do the same. UCLA will play Virginia in the NCAA Tournament round of 16 today in Palo Alto, in what will be the Cavaliers' first round of 16 match. Read more...

Freshman Courtney Dolehide and the sixth-seeded UCLA women’s tennis team will face No. 11 seed Virginia in the NCAA round of 16 today in Palo Alto. It marks the first time that the Cavaliers have advanced all the way to the third round of the NCAA Tournament. The match also marks the first meeting between the two teams.
