Dear incoming Bruins, congratulations on beginning the next chapter of your lives. Each year, the Daily Bruin – UCLA’s independent, student-run newspaper – mails its Orientation Issue magazine to incoming first-year and transfer students to help acquaint them with campus and Westwood. With this magazine, we hope to introduce you to some of the thousands of people you will see on Bruin Walk, some of the happenings inside our campus’s over 170 buildings and some of the stories that are a part of Westwood’s 106 years of history.
