Study finds UCLA’s economic impact of over $11 billion in California

A study found that UCLA generated over $11 billion in economic activity over the 2016-17 fiscal year. Beacon Economics consultancy, an independent consulting firm that conducts economic analyses, published the 2018 UCLA Economic Impact Report, finding that UCLA generated $11.06 billion in economic activity, which considers employment, labor income, taxation and product output. Contract offers new immigration, sexual harassment rights for student workers

Shanghai alumni network offers support, networking opportunities

When UCLA alumnus Bryan Lin moved to Shanghai after he graduated in 2001, he was alone and unemployed in a foreign city. Lin later became one of the first members of Shanghai’s alumni network that serves to provide new graduates with social and career support. Read more...
