UCPD officers volunteer as first responders in areas affected by Woolsey fire
The garage door of an elderly couple’s home would not open, leaving them trapped in their home in Malibu during the Woolsey fire. No one had heard from the couple, and eventually university police received a call asking for their whereabouts. Read more...

Tenzo Tea founders, UCLA alumni spill tea on entrepreneurship, healthy energy
Two UCLA alumni founded a tea company to provide a healthy source of energy and to give to those in need. Robbie Page, who graduated from UCLA in 2014, and Steve O’Dell, who left UCLA during his fourth year in 2016, founded Tenzo Tea in 2016. Read more...

Event helps students understand trends in midterm election results
A UCLA Ph.D. candidate said the increased voter turnout in last Tuesday’s midterm election was due to greater enthusiasm among voters. The UCLA Center for Liberal Arts and Free Institutions, along with the Bruin Political Union, co-hosted the event “Midterm Elections: What Happened and Why Does It Matter?” to explain the trends and patterns in the election results.
