USAC 2026-27 referendum debates: Student Success Referendum

This post was updated April 30 at 11:31 pm.  Undergraduate Students Association Council’s internal vice president urged students Wednesday to vote in favor of an upcoming referendum – one of the costliest in history – that would increase funding for on-campus diversity programs and initiatives.  The USA Elections Board and the Daily Bruin co-hosted a series of debates between candidates in the upcoming USAC election. Why drive when you can bike? CicLAvia closes Westwood Boulevard for Sunday event

Three miles of Santa Monica Boulevard and Westwood Boulevard closed to cars Sunday, creating a temporary park for cyclists and pedestrians. CicLAvia – a nonprofit that temporarily closes streets to cars across the city – hosted the event. Read more...

School of Management to launch new sports leadership minor for undergraduates

The UCLA Anderson School of Management will launch a new sports leadership and management minor for undergraduate students this fall. Laurie Summers, the special advisor of academic initiatives at the School of Management, said the minor – which is set to launch at the same time as a real estate minor – reflects a growing demand for specialized management coursework at UCLA.
