Friends and family of Brendon Galbreath remember him for his kindness, drive

UCLA community reflects on climate report, ways to take action for environment

UCLA professors and students offered their insights into the United Nations’ Aug. 9 climate report, which underscored the effects of human activity on climate change. The report from the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change focused on how increasing greenhouse gases and rising global temperatures have contributed to changes in weather events and environments around the world, such as more extreme droughts, precipitation and heat waves. California state budget increases funding for various UC programs

According to UCLA faculty, the 2021-2022 California state budget has the potential to significantly impact college accessibility and affordability for University of California students. The budget, enacted July 1, allocates more than $547 million in ongoing funding to the UC, according to an emailed statement from UC Office of the President spokesperson Ryan King. Read more...
