Former UCLA soccer standout secures new spotlight in successful esports YouTube channel

During his time at UCLA, Evan Raynr was most known for his performances on the soccer field. In his 2012 senior season with the Bruins, the midfielder led the Pac-12 with 10 assists, finished fourth nationally in assists with 0.63 per game and was drafted 36th overall in the 2013 MLS Supplemental Draft by D.C. Fall athletes to receive an extra year of NCAA eligibility after seasons postponed

The NCAA announced Friday that another year of athletic eligibility will be given to fall sport student-athletes. After the cancellation of the Pac-12 and Big Ten fall sports seasons earlier this month, the Division 1 Board of Directors implemented a blanket COVID-19 waiver, which not only gave fall athletes another year of eligibility but protected all players from losing scholarships should they opt out of the season. All fall Pac-12 sports seasons postponed, potentially until spring

All fall Pac-12 sports have been postponed for the rest of the calendar year because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the conference announced Tuesday. “The health, safety and well-being of our student-athletes and all those connected to Pac-12 sports has been our number one priority since the start of this current crisis,” said Pac-12 Commissioner Larry Scott.  “Our student-athletes, fans, staff and all those who love college sports would like to have seen the season played this calendar year as originally planned, and we know how disappointing this is.” In the official announcement, the conference also released the medical recommendations that went into its decision.
