Gymnastics sees multiple season-highs while claiming 3rd at Pac-12 championship

This post was last updated April 1 at 6:06 p.m. The Bruins’ issues on beam continued to hold them back in the postseason.  At the Pac-12 championship in West Valley, Utah, UCLA gymnastics (6-2, 4-2 Pac-12) scored a 196.725 to finish third behind second-place California (7-1, 6-1) and champion Utah (11-1, 6-0), which recorded 197.375 and 197.725, respectively. UCLA men’s basketball brings down BYU in 1st round of NCAA tournament

Men’s water polo secures chance at NCAA championship title

The Bruins are one game away from bringing trophy No. 119 to Westwood. No. 4 seed UCLA men’s water polo (8-7, 5-5 MPSF) upset No. 1 seed and Mountain Pacific Sports Federation champion Stanford (6-4, 3-3) on Saturday 11-10 in the NCAA semifinals. Read more...

UCLA gymnastics seniors strive to uphold Bruin legacy as postseason begins

The Bruins are trying to uphold a legacy, according to senior Kendal Poston. Amid a down year statistically for No. 13 UCLA gymnastics (6-2, 4-2 Pac-12), Poston said the team wants to ensure it preserves the Bruin legacy – what she described as “one of the most unique pairings of both discipline and joy and just pure love for life.” Senior Pauline Tratz said she and the team derive motivation from that goal as physical and mental fatigue start to set in toward the end of the season. UCLA baseball sees walk-off win in 1st matchup of series against Arizona

Men’s soccer looks to notch first Pac-12 win in game against California

With half of the 2021 season in the books, the Bruins have an opportunity to record their first Pac-12 conference win Saturday. UCLA men’s soccer (1-4-1, 0-3-1 Pac-12) will travel to Witter Rugby Field to face California (1-3-0) and kick off its final back-to-back road trip of the season. Read more...
