Homecoming Carnival 2011

On Oct. 28, 2011, UCLA hosted its first Homecoming Carnival since 2004. Among the approximately 4,780 people in attendance, first-year Samantha Patrick, parent Susan Hitlon, and UCLA Chancellor Gene Block share their thoughts on the festivities.

On Oct. 20, 2011 local band "thatwasthen":http://www.thatwasthenmusic.com filmed a music video at De Neve auditorium for their song "Mr. Politician." Three of the five members are UCLA alumni, and the group won the best band award at the 2010 Spring Sing concert. CicLAvia presents platform for custom bike builder

On Oct. 9, 2011, ten miles of streets in Downtown Los Angeles were shut down for CicLAvia, where bikes, joggers, and pedestrians covered the pavement. For Arturo Ramirez Perez, CicLAvia is a way to showcase his work: custom bikes, including one named "Skeletron." More »
