Fourth-year Jingjie Chen and third-year Jumo Yang design media arts students have utilized photogrammetry, a process that includes crafting 3-D puppets, scanning and processing through computers, to create a video game. Under the direction of James Roberson, the students of the Music of African Americans Ensemble perform a diverse mix of gospel music. The class not only teaches the students the fundamentals of gospel music, but also about the contextual history behind spiritual music dating back to the 1600s with the enslavement of Africans.
