Student organization hosts three-day Korean cultural awareness event

Experimental lab advocates diverse research for political science students

A new lab aims to engage students in political research using experimentation and data analysis. Efrén Pérez, director of UCLA’s Center for American Politics and Public Policy and a political science professor, established the Race, Ethnicity, Politics and Society Experimental Lab in August 2018 to provide funding and guidance for student research projects, according to the center’s website. Learning assistant program expands to reach more students in various disciplines

Learning assistants are being integrated into more STEM courses and introduced to North Campus courses. The Undergraduate Learning Assistant Program allows students who have done well in a course in the past to assist current students, according to the Center for Education Innovation and Learning in the Sciences website.
