LA Metro construction closes certain lanes on Wilshire Boulevard till Sept. 20

Multiple lanes of streets around Wilshire Boulevard may be closed until Sept. 20 because of construction for the Los Angeles Metro. The LA Metro is currently working on two transit projects aiming to connect the Westside with downtown LA and the San Fernando Valley, including at least two new stations in Westwood. Read more...

Westwood Village Rewards set to officially launch next month

The Westwood Village Rewards program soft-launched Aug. 16, offering rewards to diners and shoppers in the Village. During the ongoing soft launch, individuals can register for an account on the reward program’s website and link their credit cards to their rewards account. Read more...

UCPD searches for suspect reportedly involved in off-campus hot prowl burglary

University police are looking for a suspect reportedly involved in an off-campus hot prowl burglary early Friday morning.  The incident occurred in an apartment at the 11000 block of Strathmore Drive around 4:05 a.m., according to a UCPD crime alert sent Friday.  The suspect reportedly touched a sleeping resident’s “intimate body part” and fled out of the apartment’s rear entrance, according to the crime alert.  UCPD described the suspect as a white man around 25 years old with brown hair, a short beard and mustache.
