He missed seven games a season ago with a knee injury, he broke his jaw during a game in 2009 and he has missed time this season with a sprained shoulder. Though throwing for only 92 yards on Saturday, redshirt junior quarterback Kevin Prince had a break out game on the ground with 19 carries for 163 yards, making him the game’s leading rusher.

Although the Bruins lead the overall "Battles of the UC" by 18 games since 2007, UCLA has been playing like the little brother as of late. The Bruins (3-4, 2-2 Pac-12) have lost three straight to the Golden Bears (4-3, 1-3), meaning many players on the UCLA team have yet to find success against their big brother from the north. Senior placekicker Tyler Gonzalez was added to the UCLA football team’s roster to fill in for injured redshirt freshman kicker Kip Smith despite having only one year of high school experience.

They usually spend their days practicing as Beavers, Cougars, Wildcats or whoever the UCLA coaching staff is scheming against that week. On the days they get to be Bruins, wide receivers Jerry Rice Jr. and Devin Lucien put on their blue and gold jerseys but take them off without breaking a sweat. Read more...
